Biogas

Running a Biogas Program me by David Fulford is an accessible and truly informative guide to anaerobic digestion. The focus is on deployment and operation of biogas systems in the developing world. It includes construction diagrams, gas to energy conversion metrics, and seasoned observations about politics and implementation from Fulford, who has decades of Firsthand experience. Biogas Handbook by David House is a reference guide to the anaerobic digestion process, with a focus on the technical details of the process, gas usage and plant Design. There is information on a wide variety of digester feedstock’s, covering biogas potentials, carbon to nitrogen ratios and practical considerations.

ToiletsThe Big Necessity by Rose George is an entertaining and educational volume on the current global sanitation situation, full of excellent research and insightful facts. We think this is a must-read. The Humanize Handbook by Joseph Jenkins focuses on how to manage a composting toilet to ensure no smells and pathogen destruction. It has an entertaining cultural discussion about toilet politics in the United States, and the drawbacks of flush toilets. This book includes a list of anaerobic digestion feedstock’s and their respective carbon to nitrogen ratios.
