MSc graduate Jully Senteu wins young water scientist award in water & environment
MSc graduate in Limnologyand Wetland ManagementJ ully Senteu has won two awards during the 15th WaterNet/WARFSA/GWPSA Symposium in Lilongwe, Malawi last October. She was awarded best young water scientist of 2014 in the oral presentation category and outstanding research young water scientist of 2014 in the Water & Environmentcategory.
Jully Senteu graduated in April 2014 at Egerton Universityin the joint MSc programme on Limnology and Wetland Management on the topic: ‘Optimisation of nitrogen transformation and removal processes in a hybrid tropical constructed wetland’.
She was part of the first batch to receive a joint degree from UNESCO-IHE, Egerton University (Kenya) and BOKU University (Austria). Her research was done incollaboration with Egerton University, University of Dares Salaam and UNESCO-IHE.
